WHAT: House Commerce Committee Chairman Brian Ellis (R-Butler) announced a voting meeting to consider two consumer protection measures,
House Bill 1846, sponsored by Ellis, which would update the Breach of Personal Information Notification Act, and
House Bill 1847, sponsored by Rep. Mike Driscoll (D-Philadelphia), which would update the Credit Report Agency Act. The committee will also consider Rep. Jim Christiana’s (R-Beaver/Washington)
House Bill 1562, which would update the PennWATCH Act to establish an advisory committee, transfer management to the Independent Fiscal Office and expand the data available online.
