HARRISBURG – Joined by his fellow lawmakers and dozens of family members and friends, Rep. Andrew Lewis (R-Dauphin) took the oath of office Tuesday as state representative for the 105th Legislative District in Dauphin County.
“I am both excited and humbled by this opportunity to serve the people of Lower Paxton, South Hanover and West Hanover townships,” Lewis said. “The decisions we make at the state Capitol have a profound impact on our employers, workers, children, seniors, veterans and all Pennsylvanians. I pledge to do everything I can to make the best decisions for our collective future.”

Lewis comes to the state House as a decorated combat veteran and National Guardsman with extensive business experience, having served as chief operating officer for his family’s construction business.
Lewis believes state spending must be brought under control to lower taxes and encourage job growth. Opening the door to more job creation would mean more opportunity for Pennsylvania families to fulfill the American Dream and a broader tax base that would keep taxes down for individual homeowners and businesses. It would also help keep people here rather than seeing them move out of state.
Other priorities for Lewis include increased government transparency, fighting corruption and enacting term limits.
“I believe in government of the people, by the people and for the people,” Lewis said. “I am here to serve the people of the 105th District. I work for them; they don’t work for me.”
Lewis will make it a priority to ensure open lines of communication for the people he represents, encouraging them to contact his offices at the Capitol or at 4401 Linglestown Road, Suite B, in Harrisburg. Residents are also encouraged to visit his website at
