Rigby to Honor Fallen Firefighters in Bridge Renaming Ceremony

WHAT: A ceremony hosted by state Rep. Jim Rigby (R-Johnstown) will officially rename the Franklin Street bridge which crosses the Stonycreek River as the City of Johnstown Firefighters Memorial Bridge. The name change is being made possible through House legislation authored by Rigby during the 2019-20 Legislative Session and will memorialize seven firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the residents of Johnstown.

Day Approves Package of Bills to Assist Older Adults

HARRISBURG – Rep. Gary W. Day (R-Lehigh/Berks), chairman of the House Aging and Older Adults Services Committee, announced the passage of House Bills 291 and 1260 and Senate Bills 323 and 668. These bills seek to amend the Pennsylvania State Lottery law to provide further pharmaceutical assistance to older Pennsylvanians.
