LUZERNE – As fire, rescue and EMS companies across the Commonwealth continue to perform life-saving services while doing what they can to remain operational, Rep. HARRISBURG – The House Judiciary Committee has passed legislation authored by state Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) that would require a report about a missing child be made within 24 hours after his or her whereabouts became unknown. The bill does offer protection for guardians who have a legitimate reason to believe the child is safe with someone else.

HARRISBURG – After U.S. District Judge Williams Stickman IV ruled Gov. Wolf’s gathering limits unconstitutional, a 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals allowed them to be put back into place. Gov. Wolf has since updated his gathering limit criteria, but it is still far from constitutional. Rep. Cook (R-Washington/Fayette) is outraged.

If it were not for the overwhelming voice of the people as expressed by their legislature in calling for spectators at school sports and a federal court opinion finding the previous congregate gathering limitations unconstitutional, it is likely Gov. Wolf would have not made any adjustments to his mandate.
