House Advances Gillespie Legislation to Protect Identity of Health Care Workers

HARRISBURG – Rep. Keith Gillespie (R-Hallam) today announced that his bill to protect the identity of health care workers has been passed unanimously by the House of Representatives. House Bill 1880 would remove the requirement for last names to be displayed on health care employees’ identification badges.

Veterans Trust Fund Grant Program Open for Applications

The state Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is now accepting applications for 2019-20 Veterans’ Trust Fund (VTF) grants. Up to $800,000 in VTF grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations, veteran service organizations and county directors of veteran affairs across the state.

Heffley’s Bill to Bring Transparency to Prescription Pricing Advances to Senate

HARRISBURG – Legislation to bring much-needed transparency to the pricing practices of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) was passed unanimously by the House of Representatives on Wednesday. Reps. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) and Rob Matzie (D-Beaver/Allegheny) are the co-prime sponsors of House Bill 941, which now moves to the Senate for consideration.
