James, Policy Committee Host Hearing on Brine Spreading

TITUSVILLE—Today, Rep. Lee James (R-Venango/Crawford) and the House Republican Policy Committee, led by Chairman Josh Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), convened a hearing to discuss the practical uses of brine, a concentrated solution of water and salt that comes from oil and gas wells. For over 150 years, brine is spread on unpaved roads to suppress dust as well as on icy roads in the winter.

Wentling: Nearly $943,000 Awarded to Redevelop Former Damascus-Bishop Tube Company Site

GREENVILLE – Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded nearly $943,000 in aid to Greenville-Reynolds Development Corporation to assist with the redevelopment of the former Damascus-Bishop Tube Company site. The funding package consists of a $385,160 grant and a low-interest loan of $577,740.
