The House State Government Committee will investigate the procurement, storage and distribution of PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of its series of hearings on the handling of the pandemic by the Wolf administration.

Hennessey Says Emergency Rental, Utility Assistance Program Now Open

HARRISBURG - Pennsylvanians at risk of eviction or loss of utility service can now apply for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), said Rep. Tim Hennessey (R-Chester/Mongomery). A total of $847 million has been distributed among Pennsylvania’s 67 counties to help thousands of families maintain their housing and utility services. Owners of rental properties can also apply for assistance on behalf of tenants.

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Sue Helm (R-Dauphin/Lebanon) today issued a statement of clarification regarding House Bill 290, which would allow nonprofit organizations to conduct online sales for small games of chance during the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration. The House Gaming Oversight Committee, chaired by Helm, today passed the bill with an amendment that prohibits the use of credit cards, but allows the use of mobile payment applications such as PayPal, Venmo and CashApp.
