Thank you to everyone who supported me in November and has again sent me to Harrisburg as your voice from the 138th Legislative District. While the vote was not unanimous, my job is to represent all my constituents and vote according to their best interests. Such a responsibility is humbling.

I’m happy to announce my appointment to serve a third consecutive term as majority chairman of the House Game and Fisheries Committee. Interacting with the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) are the primary responsibilities of the committee, which will receive an annual report from each commission in early February and meet publicly to review that report.

HARRISBURG – Now officially serving in her first full term as the state House Health Committee Chairman, Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest) announced today that she is reintroducing legislation (formerly House Bill 174) that would require health insurers to cover treatment plans for Lyme disease or related tick-borne illnesses as prescribed by a patient’s health care practitioner.

State Rep. Jack Rader (R-Monroe) on New Year’s Day in the state Capitol in Harrisburg took the oath of office to begin a new, two-year term. The local lawmaker says he plans to focus his efforts on enacting policies to promote private-sector job creation, fighting the Commonwealth’s opioid epidemic and addressing the burdensome property tax issue.

HARRISBURG – Entering his 14th year representing residents of the 60th Legislative District, Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Butler/Indiana) will be taking the lead as majority chairman of the House Liquor Control Committee for the 2019-20 Legislative Session. Pyle previously served in a similar capacity with the House Gaming Oversight Committee.
