Greiner Introduces Legislation Aimed at an Earlier Presidential Pennsylvania Primary

HARRISBURG – Voters will go to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots in the primary election, which determines the candidates who will represent their party in the upcoming general election. If this were a presidential election year, history tells us that voters’ participation in Pennsylvania’s primary elections ends up being either irrelevant or insignificant since earlier caucuses and primaries in other states have already determined each major party’s nominee for president.

New Child Protection Laws Focus of Seminar, Boback Says

HARRISBURG- Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) is inviting anyone in the 117th Legislative District who volunteers or works with children to a meeting to learn more about Pennsylvania’s new child protection laws. The event will take place on Thursday, May 21, at the Brooks Theater Auditorium at Keystone College, located at 1 College Road in La Plume. The seminar will be held in conjunction with the college and is scheduled for 6-8 p.m.
